My book review

The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe is a great book. It was written by C.S Lewis. The genre of the book is adventure. The protagonist is Lucy. She is the first of her four siblings to set foot in Narnia. The characters are Lucy, Edmund, Susan, Peter, Mr. Tumnus, Aslan and the white witch. There are several settings. I liked to imaging them all. One of them is Narnia, a snowy forest on the other side of the wardrobe. The wardrobe, that leads to Narnia, which is full of fur coats. The last setting is the witch’s house.

The beginning

Lucy jumps into a wardrobe walks, and walks, and walks until she ends up in a snowy place. A friendly faun invites her for tea and cookies. The faun starts crying and tells her he kidnapped her and says the white witch will hurt him if he frees her but he frees her anyway. The white witch wanted her because she is a daughter of Eve and she needs two sons of Adam and two daughters of Eve.

Middle

Edmund, Lucy ‘s brother, ends up exploring the wardrobe and meeting the white witch and she convinces him that she will make him king and give him all the Turkish delight he wants if he comes to her house with his brother and sisters.

End

After Peter and Susan talk with professor, they decide stop thinking about the wardrobe and walk around the house. They see the cleaner coming and run into the wardrobe. The brothers and sisters followed. They soon go in and find out about the world of Narnia…

The part I liked the most was when Lucy, Edmund, Susan and Peter figure out about Narnia. I really did not like how they were sexist because at one part Edmund only tells Peter about how he is concerned and he says: “hush, not so loud, there’s no good frightening the girls.” This book was written 67 years ago and they did not know about GIRL POWER then. Still, I really love this book and would give it ten out of ten. You should read it. If you want you can ask your parent to read it to you but I prefer reading it myself.

The end!!
